Project Description

Trente-Huit

This little painting was done for Sam for Christmas a couple of years ago after our ramble around Europe. She was an incredible photographer, and this painting was from one of her photographs, with some “artistic license,” of course. It’s not a major painting, but Sam loved it and I think it’s just too nice to not share Sam always wanted me to print it (I think so she could give them as presents!) so I recently had it printed as the Giclee you see here.

The window in the painting is on a street in Bayeux, Normandy, where we spent a couple of days. Several recent paintings are the result of our travels around Normandy, and Bayeux especially. When I look at this painting, it always makes me smile. Maybe you will as well. Isn’t that what this is all about?
